Ideas for more Competitions

Thought I would start a new thread for members to put forward some ideas for new competitions now that Moonee Valley is coming to an end.
No suggestion is silly and everyone is welcome to put their ideas forward , so come on people let us know your thoughts.

HI KAT,
THIS IS JUST A IDEA IM THROWING IN TO THE RING.
SEEING THAT THIS TIPPING COMP IS POPULAR WITH QUITE A FEW MEMBERS CAN WE CONTINUE ON WITH THIS MAYBE TWICE OR THREE TIMES A MONTH AT A SLECTED SATURDAY METRO MEETING. MAYBE LETTING IT RUN FOR 12 - 14 MEETINGS.
IT MIGHT NOT SUIT ALOT OF MEMBERS BUT I PUT IT IN TO SEE WHAT THE FEELINGS ARE.

Maybe a comp for each month at the same venue, etc.

may - sydney...etc..

Ok came up with this.
Saturdays Only.
$100 to bet.
Last race at either city track ie Brisbane , Sydney , Melbourne.
Bet type can be anything Unitab covers ie win , place , each way , trifeta , quinella , any2 you get the idea.
Tips must be posted by 2pm.
If you change your mind then make a new post stating same no editing of tips.
Use Unitab for divy's
Run for 12 weeks.
Winner will have bragging rights until next comp.

I am happy with anything you come up with.
Having said that my little suggestion would be to model it on the MV comp where you try and pick the card at a selected venue - qld preferrably fats.
A wild box trifecta could make someone a champion but does that make them the best tipster??

i was thinking about a trifecta tipping comp...

4 selections for each race at a nominated meet. those who get the trifecta win either points or the TOTE amount, and if the selections get the First4, then bonus! ie, tri + f4

obviously run over a set amount of weeks, and or rotate through metro meets either wednesdays or saturdays...

Hi Mr Stevey , good on you for putting some ideas up , if you want to run a comp with these rules then by all means start a thread in here for all to see , I for one will have a go at bout comps more the better.

USING THE SAME ALTERNATE METRO TRACK IDEA AND JUST HAVING 2 RUNNERS PER LEG.

Great job everyone especially Fatts, its good fun. I'd love to do some stats on multipal bets (Quaddies, FF & Tri's) with the selections put together, i reckon there would be some good results.

I will throw another rule in tha divy's are Unitab for ease of scoring.
We also some more rules so if anybody can add to this please jump in and have a say.
May be a set amount to bet with for the day at the selected meeting ??
